The Best Restaurants in Las Vegas for Dinner (According to a Local)

Today, I’m sharing my favorite dinner spots in Vegas

When someone says, 'Let's go to Vegas,' I can't help but think about all the things that come to mind for most people - the glitz and glamor of the casinos, the over-the-top hotels trying to one-up each other, the endless partying and dancing the night away. But for me, Vegas is all about one thing: the food.

But trust me, the dining scene here is unlike anything you've ever experienced. From the most extravagant, Michelin-star restaurants to the hidden gems that only locals know about, Vegas has everything. So consider me your personal tour guide to all things Las Vegas.

I've traveled to 4 countries and 11 states in the U.S., and I can confidently say that when it comes to the best dishes, restaurants, or meals I've ever had, Vegas is right up there with the likes of LA, NY, and the Carolinas. So, before planning your next bachelorette party, boys' weekend getaway, or shotgun wedding, check out my favorite spots for dinner in Vegas.

Vegas is all about one thing: the food. It might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Sin City, but trust me when I say that Vegas can hold its own against other major culinary destinations.

On The Strip

Dinner spread at Top Golf, feature sliders, wings, and dips.

For Dinner and an Experience: Top Golf

Okay, this can get pretty pricey, but the experience and food make it one-of-a-kind. Top Golf in other states is fun, but it’s on a different level in Las Vegas! It’s just as fun to dine at their tables and watch games and shows on their massive TV screens. It's family-friendly but an excellent place for a night out with friends.

The food is delicious. We usually go with a big group and order big platters of food to share. The servings are enormous, but you'll finish every last bite. Try EVERYTHING!

Gary and I get the summer fun pass every year, and although we love playing golf, we look forward to what we’re going to eat every visit.

Must-Have Sandwiches: Greenberg’s Deli

You might not believe me when I say this, but this Las Vegas deli is better than any deli I've ever been to, including the ones in New York! It sounds crazy, but trust me, it's that good. Whenever someone comes to visit us in Vegas, we take them to this deli because it's one of our favorites.

I recommend getting the Vinny on Rye, but everything on the menu is phenomenal. The sandwiches are piled high with meat, the pickles are crisp, and the bread is fresh. The casual and unpretentious atmosphere is the perfect spot for a quick and satisfying bite.

If you're a fan of deli sandwiches or just looking for a quick bite near the New York, New York Hotel, you have to try this place.

Best Asian Food:

Din Tai Fung

Fellow foodies, if you’re searching for the ultimate Asian dining experience in Vegas, Din Tai Fung is where it's at. This restaurant has become a monthly tradition for me, and it's not hard to see why. They specialize in Cantonese cuisine, which is always fresh and flavorful.

My go-to dishes are the Shrimp and Kurobuta Pork Spicy Wontons, but everything on the menu is worth trying. Just make sure to plan ahead and reserve your table at least a week prior because this popular spot fills up quickly. So, put on your stretchy pants and join me in experiencing the mouth-watering delights of Din Tai Fung.

Best Mexican Food

on the Strip: Viva

If you’re in the mood for authentic Mexican cuisine, you must try Viva, my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant on the strip. The chic, intimate, and energetic atmosphere make it the perfect spot for a fun night out.

The Barbacoa is a must-try dish. It's tender and flavorful and will make you want to return for more. It’s the only place I've ever been with a margarita flight, and it's absolutely delicious.

Get the Real Vegas Experience: Fuhu

If this city was a restaurant, it would be Fuhu. Located at the Resorts World, this place captures the fun, engaging vibe that Vegas is known for. But the real star of the show here is the food. The staff is truly outstanding, making the dining experience that much more enjoyable. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Make sure to plan ahead, as this hotspot gets busy, and you'll want to make sure you have a reservation in advance!

Best Place for Casual Dinner and Drinks:

Flight Club

Vegas is the perfect place to try something you’ve never done before. If you’re feeling adventurous, Flight Club is an interactive dining experience you won’t want to miss. This incredible new restaurant is actually a dart bar!

But this is Vegas, so it isn’t just any dart bar. Flight Club features different games to keep the competition going and create a truly engaging night out. So if you want to experience a unique twist on a classic night out, add Flight Club to your Las Vegas itinerary.

Best Views of the Strip: Brewdog

If you’re looking for dinner that combines incredible views, great beer, and delicious food, you’ve got to check out Brewdog, one of my favorite spots in the city. As the only rooftop restaurant in Vegas, the views of the Strip alone are worth the visit

They also have a fantastic selection of beer and exceptional food. From the $150 burger to the most divine Lobster Mac & Cheese you'll ever try, there's something for everyone. If you still have room for dessert, their menu will satisfy you. The vibe is always great, making for an all-around perfect dining experience.

Best Fried Chicken in the World: Brooklyn Bowl

Food, music, and bowling: is there a better combination? Though it can be tough to grab dinner here due to the frequent events and concerts, it's worth making a reservation. They open at 5 pm every night, and you can check the schedule online well in advance.

The star of the menu is their Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken, and I can confidently say it's the best fried chicken you will ever have. Pair this exceptional food with incredible vibes and the pure fun of bowling, and you will have a truly memorable night in Vegas.

For Sushi Lovers: Sushi Samba

Sushi Samba is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Las Vegas. When it comes to sushi, this place never disappoints. Though it may be a bit pricey, it is worth every penny. The flavors are out of this world, from the sushi rolls to the sashimi. And the presentation is just as impressive as the taste, both for the food and the incredible cocktail menu.

The restaurant is one of the most stunning I have ever been to. It is like having dinner inside an art installation. The decor is modern and elegant, and the ambiance is perfect for a special occasion or a romantic night out. It's a must-try for any sushi lover visiting Vegas. It's definitely one of our favorites and will surely be one of yours, too.

Perfect for Beer Lovers: Nine Fine Irishmen

Nine Fine Irishmen is a fun restaurant at New York, New York Casino. This place is perfect for beer lovers, but the food is terrific too. The menu features many traditional Irish food options, like fish and chips, which are fabulous. They also have some unique menu options you will want to try, such as the Irish Nachos with corned beef, which was probably my favorite dish that we tried.

This spot is full of life and comfortable, so it’s a great option if you need something laid back after a big day on the Vegas strip. So if you're looking for a fun, casual spot with great food, lots of beer options, and a killer atmosphere, Nine Fine Irishmen is the place to go.

Art’s District / Downtown Freemont Area

The Best Pizza Place in Vegas: Good Pie

Good Pie is my favorite pizza restaurant. Period. It's better than any NY pizza I have ever had, and it's the perfect spot for pizza lovers. The atmosphere is intimate and feels just like a neighborhood pizza joint in NYC, with simple and rustic decor, exposed brick walls, and dim lighting.

You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but my absolute favorite is the White Pizza. The crust is crispy, the cheese is gooey (just like you want it), and the toppings are always fresh and delicious. They also have great vegan options, which is always a plus when you’re with a group. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for a great pizza experience in Vegas, Good Pie is a must-try.

For Dinner and a Movie: Art Houz

Art Houz is one of the most extravagant movie theaters in Las Vegas, containing all the luxuries you would expect at an upscale theater. Yes, that means a full bar menu, fine dining options, comfy reclining seats, and more. Did I mention that the food is outstanding? Everything we have ordered has been excellent.

Surprisingly, the prices are incredibly reasonable! Movies are $10 most days and $15 on opening weekends, a great deal compared to other movie theaters in the city.

Brewery with a Twist: Able Baker

Able Baker is, hands down, my favorite brewery! This place is a must-visit for any beer lover visiting Las Vegas with the best IPAs in Las Vegas. In addition, this spot serves bar food with an Asian twist. My go-to beer is the Atomic Duck and for food, the banh-mi, but everything on the menu is incredible.

The patio is also dog friendly, which is a nice touch. However, it can get busy, especially on game days, so make sure to come early.

Off the Strip

Unbeatable BBQ: The Beast

The Beast, located at Area15, is a must-visit for BBQ lovers. This place serves some of the best barbeque I have ever had. The menu is absolutely insane, and you will devour anything you order, but I have to recommend the Beast Sandwich. It is massive, but trust me, you'll finish it! The meat is tender and juicy, and the toppings are fresh and delicious.

The vibe is excellent, full of energy and fun, making it the perfect spot for a party or a big group. The cocktail offerings are incredible. The Beast is a must-try for anyone looking for a unique and memorable BBQ experience in Las Vegas.

For the Vegas Steakhouse Experience: T-Bones

T-Bones is the epitome of a classic Vegas steakhouse experience. This place is one of my all-time favorite steakhouses for a good reason. The food is always delicious, and the service is absolutely impeccable.

The menu features all the classic cuts you would expect - tender filet mignon, succulent ribeye, and juicy New York strip - but the real standout here is the prime rib. It's some of the best I've ever had, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the Vegas experience, pair your steak with a bottle of wine from their extensive wine selection.

Perfect for Date Night: Edo Tapas

Edo Tapas, where Spain meets Las Vegas. This intimate little spot is our go-to for a taste of Spain in Sin City. The tapas selection is extensive, and every dish we've tried has been a delight.

Edo Tapas is a hidden gem not to be missed by anyone looking for spectacular Spanish food in Las Vegas.

When You Just Need Pho: Pho Kim Long

Pho Kim Long: the ultimate destination for all your pho cravings. There are a lot of great pho restaurants in Las Vegas, but Pho Kim Long stands out as our favorite. The menu offers much more than the standard pho options, so no matter who you’re dining with, they’ll find something they’ll love. Everything we've tried here has been outstanding, from the traditional pho noodle soup to the crispy spring rolls.

What sets Pho Kim Long apart is their full-cocktail menu, which is surprisingly not something you typically find at a Vietnamese restaurant in Vegas! The cocktail menu is carefully curated, featuring a mix of classic and modern drinks that perfectly complement the flavors of the food. It's an excellent spot for a casual dinner with friends or a romantic date night. Overall, Pho Kim Long is a must-try for delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Las Vegas.

Cocktails with a Side of Amazing Food: La Neta

This spot has delicious food, unique cocktails, and a moody, fun atmosphere that screams 'Vegas.' The real star of the show here is the cocktails, which are like nothing I've ever seen before. We’re talking flavored ice that’s shaped like roses.  Trust me, you'll want to try one (or two) of their cocktails. And the food is just as impressive. From appetizers to entrees, everything is executed flawlessly.

But it's not just a dinner spot. It makes a great brunch location as well. The atmosphere is just as perfect for a lazy Sunday morning as it is for a wild Saturday night. Just be sure to make a reservation ahead of time, as it can get busy. La Neta, you always impress.
